Last year, we introduced a series of features focused on improving your experience. You can now exercise options contracts in the app, and we’ve shortened the processing time frame for those exercises. We’ve also added the ability to cover basic tasks in the app and made changes to how purchasing power is displayed.

With one-day expiration trades, you can open new positions until 3:00 PM ET on the expiration date. While having access to same-day expiry trades is beneficial, it can also come with additional risks. To communicate these risks, our teams added warning alerts during trades as well as an opt-out experience to ensure customers are aware of the implications of trading on the same day of expiration.

We love teaching! We are always expanding the resources we offer to support investors of all skill levels at every stage of their financial journey.

This Profit and Loss Chart (the “Chart”) assumes positions are held until they expire. Your actual loss may exceed the calculated amounts due to changes in implied volatility, early vesting and ex-dividend dates and other factors.

The chart is for informational purposes only and should not be considered as personal or investment advice. The chart makes hypothetical calculations based on model assumptions and other inputs you select, which may not reflect actual market conditions and do not guarantee future results. These calculations do not include taxes, fees or annual dividend yields and do not take into account previous dividend dates or early vesting risk. Failure to execute an in-money option contract may cause the actual profit and loss to differ from the calculated values. The maximum loss in a spread position is limited as long as the integrity of the spread is maintained.

Options Strategies Every Investor Should Know

Investors should carefully consider the investment objectives and unique risk profile of exchange traded funds (ETFs) before investing. ETFs are subject to the same risks as other diversified portfolios. Leveraged and inverse ETFs may not be suitable for all investors and may increase volatility through the use of leverage, short selling securities, derivatives and other complex investment strategies.

Although ETFs are designed to provide investment results that generally correspond to the performance of their respective underlying indexes, they may not be able to accurately replicate the performance of the indexes due to fees and other factors. A prospectus contains this and other information about the ETF and should be read carefully before investing. Customers must obtain prospectuses from the issuers and/or their third party agents who distribute the prospectuses and make them available for review. ETFs are required to distribute portfolio profits to shareholders at the end of the year. These returns may result from portfolio rebalancing or the need to meet diversification requirements. Trading ETFs will also have tax implications. Additional regulatory guidance on exchange-traded products can be found by clicking here.

Options trading can involve a high level of risk. To learn more about the risks associated with option transactions, read the options disclosure document, Characteristics and Risks of Standard Options, here or via https://www.theocc.com/about/publications/character-risks.jsp located at have
