Press release location: Manila, March 21, 2022
Cebu Pacific Air has chosen to support its digital transformation program by leveraging its renowned AIRCOM® Cockpit services, integrated with Inmarsat’s SwiftBroadband-Safety (SB-S) satellite network service. The combined solutions will improve cockpit communications and provide greater operational efficiency on the airline’s new Airbus A330neo.
2021 aviation IT insights show that digitization is a top priority for the aviation industry’s post-COVID-19 recovery. Cebu Pacific, the leading low-cost airline in the Philippines, is one of several airlines embarking on a digital transformation agenda, which includes modernizing its fleet with features that enable real-time updates to drive better weather and climate decision making. support flight planning.
The Cockpit Services portfolio complemented Inmarsat’s state-of-the-art SB-S satellite network service, making Cebu Pacific the first airline to leverage the benefits of both services on its new fleet. It is also the first time SB-S has been delivered factory-fitted to an Airbus aircraft, bringing more advanced, safe and reliable voice and data communications to the cockpit. IP connectivity, faster data transmission with higher broadband speeds and coverage will bring numerous operational benefits to the airline.
Cebu Pacific Advisory Resumption Of Domestic Passenger Flights To And From Manila
Bringing modern satellite technology into the cockpit allows airlines such as Cebu Pacific to maximize the benefits of in-flight optimization and innovative safety applications. For example, pilots can get real-time updates for flight optimization tools such as OptiFlight and graphical weather applications such as eWAS Pilot. Javier Massot, Chief Operations Adviser, Cebu Pacific Air, said: “We have leveraged their aviation industry expertise to help us navigate the challenges and complexities of the aviation communications landscape and prepare for that future. Our highly reliable air communications service makes communications perfect for air traffic control and aviation operations over one of the world’s most extensive networks. Publisher Dennis caught a flight with the Philippine low-cost airline Cebu Pacific. What can you expect when you fly with this airline? Read on for more information.
Online check-in was possible for this flight, but a mobile boarding pass could not be issued. Therefore, I had to go to the check-in desk at the airport to get my boarding pass. Fortunately, there was an extra line for online check-in at the Cebu Pacific check-in desks. Otherwise I think the wait would have been very long as the airport check-in queue was quite long and only moved slowly.
Hand luggage rules are pretty standard as with all airlines these days (hand luggage with dimensions 23x55x40cm + personal item). I had to pay an extra $28 (~€26) for the 20kg checked baggage.
Uae Flights: Cebu Pacific To Resume Manila Dubai Service From Sept 30
Since I have a Priority Pass, I entered Denpasar Airport’s T/G Lounge. I would say one of the best Priority Pass lounges for sure.
Boarding started on time with boarding groups. Because I chose my seat 2A online, I had priority boarding and was therefore in Group 1. The seating area at the gate offers ample space and seating.
Unfortunately after boarding there was a delay of about 50 minutes while we were waiting at the gate. Not sure what the problem was as we boarded on time. There was no good communication about this.
The cabin on this flight was fairly new I would say as it was an Airbus A321Neo aircraft. It is quite basic and consists of a 3-3 seat configuration with 41 rows, while the back row has only 3 seats on the left side.
Cebu Pacific Welcomes The New Year With 30 Domestic And 5 International Destinations
The seats are very basic, the pitch is fixed and there is no entertainment system or wifi. However, each seat has a USB plug. Legroom is very tight but still ok for a 4 hour flight.
I think the toilets were the smallest toilets I’ve ever seen on an airplane. The photos speak for themselves. The toilet itself was clean even 3 hours after check out.
Cebu Pacific is a low-cost airline, so the airfare is literally the price of the “naked” flight. Anything extra has an additional cost. This includes water, other drinks, food, sleeping kits etc.
The service itself was pretty good. The flight attendants were very friendly and once you pressed the service button they were at your seat within a minute.
Direct (non Stop) Flights From Manila To Cebu City
But unfortunately their credit card terminal didn’t work during the flight, which is pretty bad when you think about it. Lots of lost revenue for the airline and very inconvenient for the passengers. They only accepted Philippine pesos and US dollars as currency, so I couldn’t buy drinks all the time
